Bay Area singer Baby Jaymes calls his R&B subgenre Ghetto Retro and it’s a gritty throwback to old soul music with an appreciation for hip-hop. Jaymes’s cover of 50 Cent’s “21 Questions” is sung with heavy emotion and backed by a live band. The song is on one side of a 7-inch vinyl release that includes “The Visit” on the B-Side which was originally recorded by obscure Beatles-affiliated rock band The Cyrkle.
