Tunde Olaniran’s Stranger album is the latest iteration of his R&B, hip-hop, dance and pop fusion. It’s been three years since he released the Transgressor album. Stranger has spiritual inspiration, love and the kind of bravado present in any worthwhile artist. Tunde Olaniran’s “Hungry” is an alluring dance/pop single led by his curiosity-provoking lyrics. His words are in the foreground of striking synthesizers emerging from the dim spaciousness of the track. He describes the music as a deeper exploration of the sound he worked with on his 2015 Transgressor debut album. “Symbol” came out last month after a two-year hiatus and now that “Hungry” has arrived it seems that the Flint native is back to making music again.
