Apple In Talks To Buy Tidal

Jay-ZTidal

Ms. Lauryn Hill & Tidal X Present Diaspora Calling! Music Event Tonight

DiasporaCalling

Ms. Lauryn Hill and Tidal X are presenting their Diaspora Calling! event tonight at the Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, New York. The event begins tonight and ends on Friday the 15th and it is an exhibition of various forms of visual art from artists around the African diaspora. The lobby of the theatre will be transformed into an art gallery with a concentration of works from Haitian artists.

Hill states: “Diaspora Calling! is a collection of works intended to celebrate the rich tapestry of artists from the African Diaspora while also illumining persistent and irrepressible themes… Even if we work independently, we are a resounding collective voice, both reconciling and embracing our relationship to history, our origins, our future and to ourselves.”

At tonight’s opening, there will be music from DJ Spinna, DJ Juls and more. The gallery will be open to the public April 14th and April 15th 12-4PM. Ms. Hill curated the gallery with the help of MoCADA, Nader Haitian Art, and The Haiti Cultural Exchange.
