THEESatisfaction just released EartHEE yesterday and taped performances of “Sir Come Navigate” and “Fetch/Catch” in Seattle’s KEXP Studios two days ago. They start their US tour tomorrow in their Seattle hometown at Neumos Crystal Ball Reading Room.

THEESatisfaction’s “EarthEE” is the pulsating title track from their sophomore album of the same name. Palaceer Lazaro and Subpop rookie Porter Ray rap on the song which is another sonic sample of EarthEE, the album coming out February 24th.

THEESatisfaction debuted their official video for “Recognition” today at Okayplayer.com. The Tionna McClodden-directed clip focuses on ancestor praise and was filmed at The Schomberg in Harlem and inside the homes of John Coltrane, Marian Anderson, and Sun Ra. McClodden explains her choice of locations in her artist statement as, “location based reverence ” for those artists because they have inspired THEESatisfaction. The duo’s family members are also remembered and honored in the piece that ends with the appearance of Seattle artist Xenobia Bailey.”Recognition” is from THEESatisfaction’s forthcoming EarthEE album which will be available February 24th.
