Syd’s Broken Hearts Club Arrives

Syd’s Broken Hearts Club is the five-year follow-up sophomore album from The Internet’s frontwoman. Fin was her slinky debut that touted confidence, seduction and self-confessional in the lyrics. She released the Always Never Home EP in 2017. Broken Hearts Club is much more vulnerable with its singular romantic focus. The 13-song project follows the emotional trajectory of heartbreak inspired by a personal relationship that ended during the pandemic. The ups and downs of love are expressed in stages with each song. Collaborators include Lucky Daye, Smino and Kehlani. Syd is mournful of her lost love but ultimately philosophical and whole at the end of the breakup. She has already announced the Broken Hearts Club tour dates and tickets are still available.

Syd & Lucky Daye Star In CYBAH Video

Syd and Lucky Daye are two wandering stars in the video for “Could You Break A Heart.” Syd was last heard from duing the summer with her “Right Track” single. Her band The Internet released Hive Mind in 2018. Syd revealed the video on her Instagram account and there is going to be a new album announcement. Lucky Daye just released his Candydrip album last week.

Syd Shares Video For Fast Car

Syd surprises with a new song “Fast Car” and the video. The upbeat pop is matched to visuals of Syd spending the day with her girlfriend on a road trip and then exploring outdoors. The cinematography has a vintage look and the summer scenery is a reminder of the beautiful west coast terrain. There is humor in the middle of their date, a guitar solo and fantasy at the end. “Fast Car” is the holdover until Syd or The Internet releases the next album.

Patrick Paige II Shares Visual For Big Plays Feat. Westside McFly

Patrick Paige II and Westside McFly co-star in Paige’s video for “Big Plays.” This is the latest single from his forthcoming If I Fail Are We Still Cool? The two of them rap about how their pockets grow to the size of Rick Ross. The California sun lights up their bragging as Paige spends most of the time working out with weights and hitting a punching bag. It will be the second time the bass player for The Internet has stepped outside the band to release a solo album. His first album was Letters Of Irrelevance from 2018. IIFAWSC comes out May 21st.
