Wyclef Jean Is The Host Of #RunThatBack

Wyclef Jean has a new pop culture show called #RunThatBack currently being streamed on YouTube. The first four episodes are available and there are guest appearances from a variety of artists and industry legends. Lena Waithe listens to an unreleased Whitney Houston song and Clive Davis comes on the show to talk about his upcoming biopic about the late singer. Kirk Franklin listens and shares his reactions to Jean’s remix of his song “Love Theory.” Rapsody and A$AP Ferg are the next scheduled artists to appear on the program. The show will debut a new episode every Thursday until the end of October and Jean calls it sharing conversations with his friends because he’s not that good at interviews. 

Lauryn Hill’s The Miseducation Has Interactive Cover

Lauryn Hill is celebrating the 20th anniversary of her seminal Miseducation album and Sony Music’s Certified Classics has created an interactive option for fans. A website has been designated for fans who want to make a cover of the album with their face on it. Hill is on tour for the rest of the year and tickets are still available.

Wyclef Jean has had a busy 2017 with the release of the albums J’ouvert and The Carnival III. TV One made him one of the subjects in their Unsung series and he can be heard on DJ Khaled’s “Wild Thoughts.” He performs a three-song set and shares stories about doing production work for Destiny’s Child and Whitney Houston’s musical genius.

Funkmaster Flex Shares Never Heard Fugees Track

Funkmaster Flex debuted a never heard before song by The Fugees Saturday night on Hot97 and got their fans excited for a comeback. But as quickly as he aired the song that has lyrics about strife in the group Lauryn Hill clarified its origins on Twitter. Apparently, the trio improvised the untitled song during an experimental session in the studio. Hill made it known that the song was leaked and she had a good idea who did the deed. Funkmaster Flex just reminded listeners again on how eager fans are to see a Fugees reunion.
