The Art Of Noise was known for their use of sampling with the then-new Fairlight Sampler that produced the urban hits “Beatbox” and “Moments In Love.” Tom Jones’s success began in the ’60s when he became a prominent pop singer during the British Invasion. The Art Of Noise contacted Jones after seeing him perform “Kiss” on television and invited him to record the song together. The video won the MTV Breakthrough Video Award and put both acts back into the spotlight. Jones recorded another version of “Kiss” for his 2003 Reloaded: Greatest Hits album.
