Hidden Figures Official Trailer

[youtube id=”gq_5KDHYEQ8″] Taraji P. Henson, Janelle Monae and Octavia Spencer are starring in Hidden Figures, the new feature film about the Black women behind John Glenn’s first trip into space. Mary Jackon, Katherine Johnson and Dorothy Vaughn were scientists who worked at NASA and calculated the flight paths needed for Glenn’s trip. Ted Melfi is directing the movie which is based on the Hidden Figures non-fiction book by Margot Lee Shetterly. The film will focus on the racist and sexist hurdles the women had to endure as they worked in a segregated workspace at NASA. Pharrell Williams is composing original music for the film which has a January 2017 release date.
