The Austin, Texas singer’s soul and blues combined sensibilities made her an in-demand local performer and earned her an appearance on Gary Clark Jr.’s The Story Of Sonny Boy Slim. Jones is finding her way as a solo artist and this year she will be an official artist at the SXSW Music Festival.

Tameca Jones is a soul/pop singer from Austin, Texas and she is the voice heard on Gary Clark Jr.’s “Wings” from his The Story Of Sonny Boy Slim album. Jones is getting ready to release her Naked EP and “Head Over Heels” is one of the first songs from the project to post online. Jones has been working around her home base since 2005 when she became the lead singer of the local band 8 Million Stories. Their covers of songs by Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana and Elton John have had an impact on her style which is soul-based with pop influences.
