Syd: Bad Dream/No Looking Back

Syd has two new songs with “Bad Dream” and “No Looking Back”  and the former is produced by Gwen Bunn and the latter is a Ricci Riera production. The Internet’s frontwoman revealed on Twitter two weeks ago that she has a new EP ready to follow-up her Fin solo album.  These new songs are a great way for her to see the level of eagerness from her fans regarding new music. There is no set release date for the next project but “Bad Dream” and “No Looking Back” will tide her fans over until the EP comes out. She also appeared as a DJ on HBO’s Insecure two weeks ago.

Syd Shares Treading Water

“Treading Water” was originally planned for Syd’s debut album Fin but ultimately did not make the project. The singer describes “Treading Water” as her favorite song from Fin until she could not use the Steve Lacy and Flip Colson production. The instrumental was used on Big Sean and JhenÄ“ Aiko’s TWENTY88 album.

Syd Talks To GENIUS About All About Me
