[youtube id=”ycj1O5xCEMU”] Canadian rapper SonReal connects with Babyface on a new video and version of his single “My Friend.” SonReal’s friend Dane Collision directs as the rapper and Babyface sit side by side on stage with dim lighting. “My Friend” is an autobiographical song about SonReal’s father who passed last year. Their relationship changed from parent and child to friendship over time. SonReal recently released his debut album, One Long Dream that was driven by the popularity of his heavily-streamed  “Can I Get A Witness.” His tour named after the album will resume in his native Canada in February and has various stops in the United States until the Spring.

Canadian rapper SonReal just released his Words I Said mixtape as a prelude to his full-length album Good News.
Words I Said has guest appearances from Saigon, Emilio Rojas and Big Pooh among others and it can be downloaded from his Bandcamp page.
