Young RJ, Phat Kat & Guilty Simpson Release I Know In Celebration Of Dilla Day

Slum Village’s Young RJ has released “I Know” featuring Guilty Simpson and Phat Kat in celebration of Dilla Day(February 7th). “I Know” details the plight of Black men in America dealing with the prison system and economic struggles. It is one of the songs from the collaborative album he is working on with both of the Detroit emcees. Young RJ just released his solo album Blaq Royalty and the Joyner Lucas-assisted single “Motion.”

T3 Releases New Single Turn Me Up Preparing Solo Album

T3 is stepping out from his role in Slum Village to release a solo album. He is also changing his name from T3 to his childhood nickname Trace. “Turn Me Up” is the first sound of the album that is being produced by TeekoMusic and Ruckazoid. The party song is a lazy good time rounded out by fat horns and a tambourine. Trace’s solo album is titled Volume 3 and it is scheduled for a late 2017 early 2018 release.

[youtube id=”rnHOLxalmqo”] Young RJ is still getting ready for the release of his solo album Blaq Royalt in September. “Wait” is the next single and there are guest appearances from Boldy James and Pete Rock who are also in the video. Young RJ usually works as a member of Slum Village but he is breaking out with his solo voice for the first time. Blaq Royalt is a take on his Black Royalty alias and the previews of the album in the form of “Wait” and the first single “Huh?!” is building anticipation for full-length event.
