DRAM Releases What Had Happened Was…

DRAM by Shamaal

DRAM’s What Had Happened Was… just came out today. The new album is a personal portrait of his loss, grief, romances and personal growth. The whole thing is regulated by a warm vibe expressed in steady basslines, minuscule orchestration, funky keyboard blips and DRAM’s sweet tone. He previously gave a sample of the album with the BJ The Chicago Kid-assisted “PPL” and “Let Me See Your Phone.” The release of WHHW is accompanied by the video for “WHAM!” which finds DRAM in a smoky club filled with strippers. He released his latest project on his own WAVER imprint. DRAM’s WHHW follows his 2021 Shelley FKA DRAM album that put his birth name at the front of his stage name.
