In the wake of her passing one year ago, The Dap-Kings performed a tribute to her on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The band played “Sail On” and “Searching For A New Day” with video of Jones in the background. Soul Of A Woman is Jones’ final album.

Jones’ voice is the center of the video as she sings from the heart taking the strength of her gospel training straight into soul music. Soul Of A Woman comes out November 17th close to a year after she lost her fight with cancer.

Jones and the Dap-Kings are claymation figures bringing the holiday spirit in song outside on a snowy night. “Please Come Home For Christmas” is from their 2015 It’s A Holiday Soul Party! album. The documentary, Miss Sharon Jones! will be available on Netflix next month.

Sharon Jones has two memorial services next week in Brooklyn and Georgia. The soul singer passed on November 18th after a three-year battle with pancreatic cancer. The first service is Wednesday, December 14th at Brown Memorial Baptist church in Brooklyn at 6:30PM. Jones was born in Augusta, Georgia and her second service will take place there at the Imperial Theater on Saturday, December 17th at 1PM.
