Shaquille O’Neal celebrated Valentine’s Day by officiating the largest at-sea vow renewal for several couples on two Carnival Cruise Line ships. The basketball legend virtually officiated the ceremony as Chief Fun Officer for the event, followed by a reception with a DJ and champagne toast. There was also an onboard kiss cam highlighting the couples on the big screen of the Seaside Theater. 

 “People meet, get engaged, and get married on Carnival cruise ships and our Valentine’s  Day vow renewals are an extension of how couples love to cruise with Carnival, and we’re delighted to offer this ceremony to more guests than ever before,” said Christine Duffy,  president of Carnival Cruise Line. “Love and fun go hand in hand, so a vow renewal or wedding ceremony is even more special when it’s part of a Carnival cruise. Carnival Cruise Line regularly offers matrimony options on their ships and at beautiful destinations through their Weddings By Carnival program. In 2023, more than 1,220 weddings and vow renewals took place. Couples can plan engagements, weddings, vow renewals, and honeymoons with them. Shaq is bringing the biggest bass festival ever had in Texas to the stage in the fall. Shaq’s Bass All Stars Festival is taking place Saturday, September 16th at Panther Island in Forth Worth, Texas.  The lineup includes Alison Wonderland, Kai Wachi, Crankdat, Sullivan King and more. Shaq aka DIESEL has partnered with Disco Donnie Presents & Medium Rare to bring forth his biggest festival to date.  DIESEL is the NBA legend’s DJ and producer alias and as a DJ he has headlined sets at Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, Tomorrowland and Electric Forest. He is the curator of the bass festival and he also chose his favorite Texas food trucks to be on site.
