DJ Premier and Royce Da 5’9″ dropped this teaser for their upcoming “PRhyme” project today. It isn’t clear if it will be a song, album or an EP, but Royce promises a sound indebted to ’94’s boom-bap.

Kid Vishis’s “Talk Behind My Back” is a new anthem about a very common Detroit culture of deceit and shady people. The Detroit rapper is releasing his debut album, Timing Is Everything on July 22nd. Chase Moore almost exclusively produced it and there are a few contributions from Mr. Porter, Nick Zervos and Nemisis.

By now, the national hip-hop community is aware of Trick Trick’s “No Fly Zone” because of the incident with Rick Ross at Detroit’s Chene Park venue over the weekend. Trick Trick is a Detroit rapper who takes issue with artists outside of the city disrespecting Detroit artists and not working with them. Apparently Rick Ross, did not get his “clearance papers” from Trick Trick and was prevented from doing his show by a blockade of 100 individuals. Considering Rick Ross’s recording controversy last year over the date rape song, “U.O.E.N.O.,” he could start mending his relationship with Detroit and all rap fans by giving to prosecutor Kym Worthy’s rape project. Director Pace Rivers uses two women to lip synch and Koncept and Royce Da 5’9″‘s parts of “Watch The Sky Fall” but Koncept does make a cameo appearance as an undercover cop.
