Watch: Rapsody’s Video For Madlib-Produced Daddy’s Girl

Watch Rapsody give a performance of her Madlib-produced “Daddy’s Girl” and be schooled again on why she is so underrated. As usual the North Carolina emcee has some memorable lines and this time the standouts are about sexism, and the autonomy of her pen and Kanye West’s love of Hitler. It was last year when she released her fourth studio album, Please Don’t Cry. Madlib’s low-key jazzy production sounds like dinner music underneath Rapsody’s verbal barbs and it works. She’s currently touring with Joey Bada$$ on his Dark Aura Tour that also has Ab-Soul as a guest.

Moonchild Posts Video For Not Sorry Feat Jill Scott & Rapsody

Moonchild’s new self-preservation anthem, “Not Sorry,” has guest appearances from Jill Scott and Rapsody. Lead singer Amber Navran tells the offender that she is not responsible for the mess but she is accountable for her own peace of mind. Navran makes the release of toxic people sound easy and almost fun. Her low, breathy tone defuses the hard edges of her message but Scott and Rapsody do their part to remind everyone that it’s not wrong to claim and protect your space. “Not Sorry” is a welcomed return for Moonchild, who released Starfruit three years ago and the Reflections EP in 2023. The collaboration is the first single from their 2026 album.

Rapsody Reasserts Her Presence In Video For Back In My Bag

Rapsody claims her self-possession loudly with no apologies in her video for “Back In My Bag.” She talks straight to the camera about her road to becoming fully confident and comfortable in her personal space. She’s got fast cars around, a tattoo of her mom, and a posse. Rapsody previously released the video for “3:AM” featuring Erykah Badu. Both songs are from her fourth studio album, Please Don’t Cry. Rapsody will head for the Please Don’t Cry International Tour in September.

Rapsody Is Back With A Video For Stand Tall

Rapsody is back with the video for “Stand Tall.” Actress Sanaa Lathan plays the role of her therapist as they talk about Rapsody’s life and media image. The rapper credits Lathan for helping her complete her fourth studio album, Please Don’t Cry. It was five years ago when she released her critically acclaimed Eve. Please Don’t Cry has guest appearances from Phylicia Rashad, Alex Isley, Niko Brim, Baby Tate, Erykah Badu,  Lil Wayne, and more. The new album will be available on May 17th.
