Last night Prince appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and performed his new single “Rock and Roll Love Affair.”

Mary J.Blige brought Prince to the stage during her iHeartRadio Music Festival show and they performed “Sweet Thing” and “Nothing Compares 2 U.”

An afro-wearing Prince made a surprise appearance on “The View” today to promote his new song “RnR” and his tour in Chicago where the proceeds will go to the Rebuild The Dream organization headed by Van Jones.

The National Recording Registry just released the list of songs that entered their archive for 2011. Donna Summer, Prince, The Sugarhill Gang, Parliament, Booker T. & The M.G.’s and Bo Diddley all have tunes in the collection from last year’s selection process.
