Parliament’s Medicaid Fraud Dogg is their first album in 38 years. The last time they were heard from was the 1980 album Trombipulation. Their critique of the American medical system is happening in the midst of President Trump’s attack on Obamacare and the country’s open conflict around the politics of medical care. [youtube id=”0tWGU00u8uU”]George Clinton’s Parliament criticizes the medical industry in the video for “I’m Gon Make U O’ Sick Me.” Scarface, Mudbone Cooper, Clinton’s granddaughters Kandy Apple Redd and Nakid87 join him and band for the video that takes place mostly in a hospital. Clinton is the patient and Scarface is Dr. Feelgood looking for a way to give him the ultimate healing. “I’m Gon Make U Sick O’ Me” is Parliament’s first new song in 38 years. The new album is called Medicaid Fraud Dog and it has a to be announced release date. Clinton made the announcement two weeks ago that he is retiring from touring next year and right now he and the group are on the road through the summer. 




George Clinton Shares New Parliament Song

 

George Clinton is bringing his Parliament group back with a new album and the first single is “I’m Gon Make You Sick Of Me” featuring Scarface. Parliment has not had an album since Trombipulation from 1980. Clinton had a question and answer session on Reddit this week and explained that after the Funkadelic’s 2014 First Ya Gotta Shake The Gate it was Parliament’s turn for new music.




George Clinton Talks About Working With Flying Lotus And The Funk

George Clinton talks about working with Flying Lotus, aging and an upcoming documentary on the legal problems artists face among other topics in an interview with Rolling Stone. Clinton shares the story of how Kendrick Lamar introduced Thundercat and Flying Lotus to Clinton when they were working on To Pimp A Butterfly. He recently praised Childish Gambino’s love of P-Funk which is evident on his highly-praised Awaken, My Love!
