Tall Black Guy Shares Black Is Feat. Ozay Moore, DSTL, Sareem Poems & Rich Medina

Tall Black Guy ponders what “Black Is” and gets answers from Ozay Moore, DSTL, Sareem Poems & Rich Medina. The song is hip-hop poetry soul that finds each of them making critical observations about the state of being Black and affirming the person they see in the mirror every day. Tall Black Guy’s blissful groove starts with a sample of The Last Poets’ “Black Is Chant” and ends with Medina’s words. The new song is out now and coincides with this year’s Black History Month.

Listen: Ozay Moore-WSTCST Feat. Tony Ozier & Teeko Produced By Tall Black Guy

Ozay Moore starts 2018 with his new album, In The Wake Of O. “WSTCST” is the newest single to emerge from the collection. Moore, Tony Ozier and Teeko provide vocals in front of Tall Black Guy’s G-Funk inspired beat. The Lansing, Michigan by way of Seattle rapper promises his hometown that he will return one day. Moore explains,

In carrying out the theme of past, present and future on In the Wake Of O, it was important to follow up the notion of contentment heard on “Where You At?” with (of course) a statement of reflection and longing. In my case, that’s to one day return home to the WSTCST (West Coast)… namely Seattle… my birthplace.”
