Starz released the trailer for season 2 of the TV show Power starring Omari Hardwick today. The story picks back up with Hardwick’s character Ghost risking his achievements because of an involvement with an old flame who unbeknowst to him, is a federal agent. 50 Cent becomes more central to the events when his character is released from prison and plans to sabotage Ghost and his partner Tommy. Power returns to the Starz channel in the summer.

TV One’s Verses & Flow will return for a second season on August 20th. Omari Hardwick is the host for the show that gives a close-up to various R&B performers and spoken word artists. This year Angie Stone, Musiq, Macy Gray, Elle Varner, Tank, Eric Benet, Chrisette Michele, Carl Thomas, Luke James and Tamia will make appearances. “I Will Follow” opens today and it is a new film directed by Ava DuVernay about the loss of her aunt. The film stars Salli Richardson-Whitfield and Omari Hardwick in a story that revolves around the 12 visits Richardson receives on the day she moves out of the home she shared with her aunt. This is DuVernay’s second film her first being the award-winning hip-hop documentary “This Is The Life.” The former publicist has already taken her film-making itch beyond directing and created the African-American Film Festival Releasing Movement to distribute two independent African-American films per year starting with “I Will Follow.” The film can be seen in select AMC Theatres.
