British R&B singer Monique released her Gift EP today exactly one day after the birth of her son Jude. The Gift’s release date was planned to coincide with Jude’s arrival but the closeness of his birthday, though not on the exact day planned, still reflects Monique’s inspiration. The 5-song collection debuted at Britain’s MOBO Awards and is available via iTunes.

British R&B singer Monique has returned to music with her single “The Gift.” Her last release was her 2011 debut album Unbroken. “The Gift” is the lead single from her upcoming EP of the same name. The title is inspired by the impending birth of her child and it is co-produced by longtime collaborator Tony Bean and Daniel Hutchinson.
