Mick Jenkins Announces The Circus EP Coming Out Friday

Mick Jenkins will see The Circus EP come out this Friday. The EP follows his 2018 Pieces Of A Man album. Jenkins was inspired by current events and had this to say: As a direct prelude to my forthcoming album, The Circus EP is a body of work about just that. “These days it’s very hard to look at the state of the world and popular culture and not see allegory that makes this metaphor our reality more often than not.”

The Circus has production from Black Milk, Hit-Boy and more. The video for “Carefree” debuted today. Jenkins goes on his next tour of the United States on January 16th.

Mick Jenkins Uses Comedy In Video For Reginald (Feat. Ben Hixon)

[youtube id=”nL2bTs8t9DA”]Mick Jenkins does a parody of cop TV shows and stops a heist in his video for “Reginald (Feat. Ben Hixon). Jenkins stars as a white wig and mustache-wearing detective who stops the bad guys in scenes that are humorous despite the issue of crime. Jenkins just released his Pieces Of A Man album and has plans for a new North American Tour that will begin on January 5th.

Mick Jenkins Shares Video For Padded Locks & Barcelona

The videos for “Padded Locks” & “Barcelona” are combined into one clip of Jenkins holding court in a library. Dovi Kotto directed video for the songs of which the former has a Kaytranada beat and a feature from Ghostface Killah. Jenkins has shared the tracklisting for Pieces Of A Man that can be pre-ordered before Friday.

Mick Jenkins Shares Bruce Banner Single

Mick Jenkins shares his “Bruce Banner” single as he gets ready to release his Pieces Of A Man album in the fall. The new song is straight bragging to the point that Jenkins promises that Kendrick Lamar is his only worthy nemesis. The Chicago rapper told Zane Lowe on his Beats 1 radio show that the album has some collaborations including an appearance from Corinne Bailey Rae. He also likened himself to The Incredible Hulk who surprises people by emerging from Bruce Banner.
