MK Embarks on US Dates Leading up to Coachella Performance

Iconic Detroit dance music DJ/Producer MK aka Marc Kinchen is currently touring North America and will make his first appearance at Coachella in April. He will also appear at Carl Cox’s tent at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami. The news of MK’s tour quickly follows on the heels of his joint event announcement with Duke Dumont at Mansion Miami on the closing night of Miami Music Week. In celebration of the relaunch of MK’s Area 10 label, the event will be a collaboration with Dumont’s Blaise Boys Club, featuring special guests such as techno legend Kevin Saunderson and Jonas Rathsman. MK has remixed mainstream artists like Beyonce and had a no. 1 UK hit with his remix of Storm Queen’s “Look Right Through” in 2013. He was also an in-house producer for Will Smith in the early 2000’s. His reputation in house music came in the ’90’s with classic songs like “Burning'” and “4 You.”




Defected Presents House Masters MK Second Edition

Defected has released the 2nd edition of its House Masters series with MK. The compilation consists of MK’s most famous dance remixes but the Bizarre Inc. dub of “Took My Love” is missing.

MK aka Marc Kinchen is a house god from the ’90’s. His catalog is a major part of the undeground dance movement ; “Always” “Burning” and “You Brought Me Love” are bit pieces of a heaven he helped to create that is filled with so much more. Defected just released 20 of his tracks in a compilation that you can get on iTunes. These days the producer does more work for people like Pitbull and Willow Smith but he does say in this clip that recent DJ gigs are helping to bring the underground MK back.
