Flying Lotus’ KUSO Will Be In Theaters & Stream On Shudder July 21st

Flying Lotus’ debut film Kuso will be in Los Angeles theaters and stream on Shudder July 21st. His alter ego of Steve Ellison directed the feature about Los Angeles after a massive earthquake and all its hallucinogenic mess. Kuso screened at The Sundance Film Festival and was noted for its gross imagery and Ellison even provided barf bags for the audience. George Clinton, Hannibal Buress, and Tim Heidecker have roles in Kuso. Eddie Alcazar produced the film that has an original soundtrack and collaborations with Aphex Twin and Akira Yamaoka.

[youtube id=”pOWO9ibOtTQ”] Kuso is a new film from Flying Lotus with George Clinton, Donnell Rawlings and Hannibal Buress among the cast. The surreal-looking piece is Lotus’ debut as a director and the movie delves into the aftermath of a California earthquake. Kuso will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 21st.

Lotus’ first film excursion was the short Royal which screened at the Sundance NEXT FEST in August of 2106.  David Firth and Zach Fox co-wrote Kuso and Eddie Alcazar produced the movie fo Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder Films.
