Jesse Boykins III-Tell Me Official Video

Jesse Boykins III uses his video for “Tell Me” to comment on women forced into silence as a cultural norm. “Tell Me” encourages the women in his life to express their feelings to him without fear because he doesn’t believe in the forced absence of their voices. And this is the meaning of the women taking the tape off of their mouths and finally speaking their truths. “Tell Me” is from Boykins’s 2014 Love Apparatus album.
