Christine Kakaire moderated the talk at the former Silent Movie Theater Delphi. The lecture went live on Youtube and Facebook and was part of the Red Bull Music Festival taking place in Berlin for the next month and also coincides with the 20th anniversary of RBMA. Janelle Monáe is currently touring her critically acclaimed Dirty Computer album. 

Janelle Monae will give a public lecture today as part of the Red Bull Festival Berlin. The artist will speak at the former silent movie theatre Delphi about her life and career with Christine Kakaire. Monae has been touring her latest album, Dirty Computer, which addresses race, sexuality and class. The live stream will start at 2PM ET and can be accessed via YouTube and Facebook.
