Fantastic Negrito Delivers Video For A Boy Named Andrew

[youtube id=”0JurP6tybN0″]Fantastic Negrito starts 2019 with a video for “A Boy Named Andrew.” Freddy Macdonald directs the clip that features Fantastic Negrito’s life on the road. The concept is fitting because Fantastic Negrito’s consistent touring has made him one of the best current live acts. His tireless commitment to bringing his all to the audience is how he won NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest in 2015. Please Don’t Be Dead has proven to be just as satisfying as his Grammy-winning debut The Last Days Of Oakland.

[youtube id=”yYjkEoYI3Jk”] Fantastic Negrito’s blues resurgence is charming, funny and aware all at the same time. The Oakland native is getting ready for the release of his sophomore set Please Don’t Be Dead next month. “The Duffler” is a funky rock and roll song about trying to get past despair. It is the second single coming after “Plastic Hamburgers” and both songs reflect Negrito’s consistent focus on highlighting issues with raw truth.
