F. Stokes Love, Always EP Now Available European Tour Dates Announced
Stokes new EP Love, Always. is now available on Potholes Music. The 7 song EP is a collection of inspirational tunes recorded in Paris, Los Angeles, and Madison, WI. Slightly different in sound, but similar in message to the rest of his catalogue, F.Stokes content is elevated and has been described as “aspirational and optimistic.” The first single off the EP, “My Simple,†showcases F.Stokes describing his “small town in the USA.†A video for the single was directed and edited by Maria Juranic. The EP is currently streaming on AOL and available for purchase on iTunes.
In support of the new EP, F.Stokes will be playing shows in Europe. While in England F. will be recording with Dan Smith of UK band Bastille (Virgin/EMI). F.Stokes was recently featured on Bastille’s new mixtape ‘Other People’s Heartache.’ After his European stint F. will be heading back to the states to open up for hip hop legends MC Hammer and Rev Run. If you are in the New York City area, a special EP release party is in the works 4/19. Tour dates listed below.
Born and raised in the South Side of Chicago, F.Stokes has lived a life anything but simple. Transplanting to Madison, WI for his adolescent years, he has created a strong following and passion. Now residing in New York City he has learned to be appreciative of every opportunity he has earned, making the most out of all situations. His musical influences range from Patti Smith to Kanye West. Johnny Cash to Miles Davis. Gary Clark Jr. to Elvis. He views music not as an option, but as a necessity stating, “my music is how I breathe. I’m grateful, and humbled, that I make a living living out my ideas. There wasn’t a definitive moment in which I decided I would dedicate my life to music, it came naturally. Birds don’t learn to fly, they just do it, baby.
