Eminem’s Doomsday 2 Has A Video

Lyrical Lemonade is a Chicago-based production company. They have released a video for “Doomsday 2”  featuring Eminem.  The single is from the company’s All Is Yellow rap compilation released in January. “Doomsday 2” is a Benzino diss track that has roots in their initial problems that started when Benzino was running The Source magazine. Eminem also mentions Benzino’s daughter, Coi Leray, in his rap.  Cole Bennett, founder of Lyrical Lemonade and videographer, directed the clip that also has guest appearances from Big Sean and Ypsilanti rapper BabyTron. JID, Denzel Curry, Teezo Touchdown, Swae Lee and Cordae also have cameos in the video.

Snoop Dogg & Eminem Performed As Bored Apes At VMAs

https://youtu.be/0GW3TWBlQgE

Snoop Dogg and Eminem’s hybrid show at the VMAs this year is one of the most talked about because of their Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT personas. The two rappers performed  “From The D 2 The LBC” as cartoon figures one minute and then went back to being human. Snoop Dogg had a huge marijuana cigarette onstage much like Parliament Funkadelic had onstage in the ’70s which had Eminem intrigued and intoxicated. Their bustling energy and flawless multisyllabic delivery defied any stereotypes about rap skills being held hostage by youth. Snoop Dogg and Eminem have worked together several times in the past most famously on “Bitch Please II” but the new collaboration creates the question of a possible full album.

Their MTV Video Music Awards show was a big promotion for the 10,000 cartoon apes available for ownership rights and subsequent licensing privileges in the NFT where prices start at $150,000 and go up to more than $1 million. Some watchers felt that the animation was antiquated and some others believed it was corny to turn their performance into an advertisement but the music fans still loved it.  As more fans question the relevancy of award shows the Hollywood Reporter says that viewership for the MTV Video Music Awards went up three percent his year to 3.9 million viewers. Although Snoop and Eminem have currently immersed themselves in the NFT trend with the former’s latest album being called Metaverse: The NFT Drop, Vol. 1 and the Detroit rapper’s Shady Con NFT, those interests have not slowed their musical fire.
