Emaé Drops New Single Away From Here Before Her Debut Album Release

Scottish singer emaé returns with “Away From Here”  before the June release of her debut album Old Heart. emaé emerged with her acoustic polished pop three years with the song “Something Beautiful.” She garnered international critical acclaim for her first single and the Imperfect Words EP followed in 2016. “Away From Here” is about taking a once in a lifetime journey as she explains: 

“For me, ‘Away From Here’ is a reminder to keep on keeping on. It was one of my favorite songs to record on the album because for the longest time, we struggled on the production. It wasn’t right. Then one night it all just fell into place and felt perfect. And that’s what the song is about—being on that road and staying on it till you find what you’re looking for because you know it’s out there.”

emaè Releases Video For Better

[youtube id=”seOVU8dzIhg”] Scottish singer-songwriter emaè releases a video for her single “Better” before the emergence of her debut album later this year. The setting is a concert stage, a piano player and lights. emaè said this about the song:

“Better is the song for right now, it 100% reflects where I’ve been the last year and also where I’m going. It’s a song of resilience, confidence and certainty. It’s a song I’m extremely proud of.”
emaè debuted with her first single, “Something Beautiful” in 2015. The following year her acoustic EP Imperfect Words was released along with the single “Know You.” Her untitled debut album will come out later this year.

emaé’s four-song Imperfect Words EP is a pop-folk styled mini introduction to her life experience. The London singer-songwriter had this to say about Imperfect Words: “Imperfect Words is exactly that. Words from my life that are flawed and only the ones I’m learning as I go. They are the songs of my everyday; they come from that one time on the bus to work, or that time when my dreams felt more like a curse than a blessing.”
