Elmiene Signs With Def Jam/Polygram Shares New Song

Elmiene has signed a deal with Def Jam/Polydor and shares his new song “Mad At Fire” which was co-written with Syd and produced by Lil Silva. The British singer describes “Mad At Fire” like this:

“Like fire still burns when it’s cold out,

Like skies can still be grey in June,

Like Bourbons are still eaten even though custard creams are better,

I can still love you and leave you.”

The song is his first output since the release of his EL MEAN EP which was released in March. The up-and-coming crooner also made his television debut on Later…With Jools Holland where he performed “Marking My Time.” Festivalgoers witnessed his first Glastonbury show last Friday on the BBC Introducing stage. “Mad At Fire” is about the reality of a breakup and all the conflicting feelings that can happen to both parties. Elmiene is establishing himself as one of the next voices in R&B to come from across the water and give life to his generation’s creative presence.

Elmiene Releases El-Mean EP & Choose You Video

Oxford R&B crooner Elmiene releases his El-Mean debut EP and the video for “Choose You.”  The EP follows the heavily streamed “Why (Spare Me Tears)” and “Endless No More.” Elmiene’s music was in Virgil Abloh’s last Louis Vuitton show last year and it was the first place his voice was heard. The new artist has already opened for Robert Glasper and Yasiin Bey in Paris and his first two London shows in May are sold out. A few weeks ago he performed “Endless No More” for A COLORS Show. Elmiene’s El-Mean is an unforgettable introduction to his sensitive soul.
