VeilHymn is a collaboration between Dev Hynes and Bryndon Cook and “Hymn” is the first single from their forthcoming full-length project. Cook reached out to Hynes a couple of years ago by sending him some demos. The connection led to Cook working with Hynes on his Freetown Sound album. The R&B duet has Cook pushing out his raw falsetto then rapping and singing with Hynes about heartbreak.

[youtube id=”EK6R6WfKo0M”] Blood Orange and ballet dancer Maria Kochetkova do a modern dance routine in a studio somewhere to the sound of “I Know.” This is the second video from Blood Orange’s Freetown Sound album after the visual for “Augustine.” The singer/songwriter has said that Freetown Sound “Was intended for those who had been told they were not black enough, too black, too queer, not queer the right way.”

[youtube id=”GFQKrYIFu1s”] Dev Hynes is interviewed for Red Bull Academy’s lecture series and talks about his music, working with the female voice and being a fan of classical music. He released Freetown Sound as Blood Orange.

[youtube id=”NXtzcViZPGA”] Dev Hynes just released Freetown Sound under his Blood Orange moniker and a video for the single “Augustine.” The visual takes place in New York at different spots including a rooftop, a restaurant and Hyne’s apartment. Julian Casablancas makes a cameo appearance.
