Childish Gambino releases his first full-length project since Awaken, My Love! from 2016 with 3.15.20. Ariana Grande, Sza, 21 Savage and Kadjha Bonet have guest appearances on the 12-song album. The music was first available as a stream on DonaldGloverPresents.com a week ago but was taken down. There are two versions of the album; the conventional song by song Childish Gambino version and the continuous play tracklist under Donald Glover Presents.  

[youtube id=”In0P55759jU”]The Childish Gambino and Rihanna film Guava Island is streaming now exclusively on Amazon Prime. Hiro Murai directed the story about Gambino being a celebrity and musician living on an island with his girlfriend played by Rihanna. The movie is a thriller based around Gambino’s character, Deni Maroon, and his passion for giving his community a music festival. Guava Island premiered at Coachella and then was offered to everyone for free on Amazon Prime for 18 hours. The film’s political message is driven by the soundtrack that has original music from Childish Gambino as well as reworked versions of “This Is America” “Summertime Magic” and “Feels Like Summertime.” 

The lineup for Coachella 2019 was announced and Childish Gambino, Ariana Grande and Tame Impala are the headliners. Kanye West declined to perform after organizers would not fulfill his request for a customized stage. Janelle Monáe,  Wiz Khalifa and anderson.paak are among the artists scheduled to give on a show during the three-day weekend in April. Beyoncé’s 2018 show that was inspired by historically Black colleges and universities dominated the festival last year. Tickets for this year’s annual event go on sale Friday. 

[youtube id=”F1B9Fk_SgI0″]Childish Gambino takes the last days of the season to release the video for “Feels Like Summer.” The cartoon has plenty of familiar faces including Will Smith, Kanye West, Michelle Obama, Diddy and more. Gambino walks through the hood and sees them all in doing different things. Gambino is on his This Is America tour now until the end of October.
