Cherri V’s Leave Me Be Gets Stripped Down & A Visual

[youtube id=”zi7VSZ1ZCkE”] Cherri  V’s “Leave Me Be” is re-arranged by Hannah V into a simpler version and given a video. Hannah V’s piano leads the new arrangement and she is joined by musicians on the bass and percussion. “Leave Me Be” is from Cherri’s forthcoming Brown Eyed Soul debut album. She said this about the newer version:

As a songwriter who wears her heart on her sleeve and reveals a lot through her lyrics, I’m always in favour of stripping back a song and approaching it acoustically. ‘Leave Me Be’ hones in on vulnerability and honesty, and this stripped version of the record just allows me to dig a little deeper.”

Brown Eyed Soul is scheduled for a 2018 release.

Cherri V Releases Lyric Video For Things You Do

[youtube id=”dAMD7IZ4-so”] British songstress Cherri V has released a lyric video for her latest single “Things You Do.” She is preparing to release her debut album Brown Eyed Soul at the beginning of 2018. “Things You Do” is the third single to come out from the album following “Without You” and “Leave.” Cherri V explained the song in a press release:

“‘Things You Do’ was written on a summers day, and it captures the relationship between being drunk and being in love… I always call myself a lightweight when it comes to alcohol so it only takes a tipple to get me going, and in relation to being in love, it’s the smallest things that excite me – good company and good vibrations.”

Cherri V’s Brown Eyed Soul is coming after three EPs, her “The Drop” single with Lethal Bizzle and collaborations with Dawn Richard, Jessie J and Wiley.

Cherri V coined the term “Athazagoraphobia” to describe the feeling of not wanting to be ignored or forgotten. She owns up to a desire for the spotlight like any other ambitious artist on the Athazagoraphobia EP which is her third one. The London singer has previously worked with Jessie J, Lethal Bizzle and Dawn Richard and is currently building her solo career. She wants the EP as she says,”to be a reminder to people, of who I am and what I do at whatever capacity, also for new listeners to experience an emotive body of work matched with credible songs and strong vocals.”
