R.I.P. Charlie Murphy

[youtube id=”HpF-0VIdNIc”] Charlie Murphy died today at the age of 57 after battling leukemia. Murphy was a successful comedian and the older brother of Eddie Murphy. He appeared in several movies including Harlem Nights and Norbit with his brother and he most recently worked on Meet The Blacks. Murphy became popular as a recurring guest on Chappelle’s Show mostly for his celebrity stories involving Prince and Rick James. His television work also found him contributing to The Boondocks and Black Jesus during his three-decade career. Murphy’s wife Tisha died in 2009 of cervical cancer. Murphy was currently working on the Comedy Get Down tour with George Lopez, Cedric The Entertainer, D. L. Hughley and Eddie Griffin.
