David Banner just had a well-received episode of Mass Appeal’s Rhythm Roulette and now he has leaked “Magnolia” featuring CeeLo Green and Raheem DeVaughn days before the release of The God Box. The Magnolia is the official flower of Banner’s Mississippi home and he says the song is about the relationship about the “relationship of the magnolia tree and Africans during slavery.” The God Box comes out on EMPIRE Friday and it has a 24-page booklet and appearances from Black Thought, Big K.R.I.T. and Trinidad James.

They are claymation figures at a zoo where they animals get to gawk at and feed them in a reversal of the typical zoo scheme. Their Cool Uncle album is out now.

CeeLo Green’s soul/jazz remix of A Tribe Called Quest’s “Footprints” is from the group’s 25th Anniversary edition of People’s Instinctive Travels And The Paths Of Rhythm. So far, there’s been a “Bonita Applebaum” remix from Pharrell and J.Cole is on the bonus version of “Can I Kick It?” The album comes out November 13th but you can pre-order it now and download “Footprints” and “Bonita Applebaum.”

Ceelo Green has crafted a new Mother’s Day anthem with “Mother May I” from his upcoming Heart Blanche album. Green has described Heart Blanche as a turnaround album after surviving legal problems from an alleged rape case. In a recent interview he is quoted as saying, “You’re going to hear a revelation, an epiphany of new understanding and a new lease on life, personally and professionally, on this album.”
