They used the music of the ’60’s as their inspiration and created a soulful piece to reflect 1967 today. Detroit opens in national theaters next Friday (August 4th).




Hezekiah & Bilal Collaborate On Against The Odds From Gods EP

GODS by HezekiahHezekiah just released his Gods EP of hip-hop material and “Against The Odds” is a collaboration with Bilal. The Philadelphia artist usually performs with the alternative band Johnny Popcorn but he found a lot of unreleased music on his hard drive. The Gods EP has features from T3 of Slum Village, Blu, Freeway, Queen Jo, Peedi Crakk and The Bul. Gods is available now from Hezekiah’s Bandcamp page.




Bilal-Pleasure Toy Feat. Big K.R.I.T. Official Video

Common’s Black America Again comes out November 4th. The rapper/actor is also producing a comedy for Fox called 93 Til Infinity, which is also the title of the Souls Of Mischief’s classic album, about a ’90’s rapper having a midlife crisis.
