Detroit producer Apollo Brown pulled some of his hometown rappers together one night including Miz Korona, Noveliss of Clear Soul Forces, MarvWon and Red Pill with west coast legend Rass Kass one night in the D and arranged this cypher videotaped by Jay Brown. There is no word yet on if the recording of the gathering will be for sale.

Apollo Brown and Rass Kass roam the ruins of Detroit and a cathedral in the video for “How To Kill God.” Blasphemy is out now.

The midwest meets the west again on the Blasphemy collaboration album from Detroit producer Apollo Brown and California veteran Rass Kass. “How To Kill God” is all about taking apart the western concept of the divine. Not since the almost exclusive combination of Black Milk and Bishop Lamont on the Caltroit project has there been such a substantial meeting of the two areas.

A reel of Blaxploitation film clips is put together as the trailer for Apollo Brown’s instrumental album Thirty Eight. The album itself is informed by music from those movies and hip-hop that has sampled from those soundtracks in the past.
