Amerigo Gazaway has taken some of the most favored holiday soul and rap classics to create the Player’s Holiday: A Very Merry Mixtape. James Brown, Outkast and Run D.M.C. are a few of the artists on the mix that’s streaming now. The producer has a new subscription service and when you sign up for it you can download the mixtape and gain access to unreleased remixes.

[youtube id=”BHLymSdxbJE”] Amerigo Gazaway is launching his new project featuring Stevie Wonder and Common which he calls A Common Wonder. Gazaway’s gift for imagining great musical collaborations has a seed from Common’s “Black America Again” duet with Wonder. Gazaway uses documentary soundbites, interview audio and multitrack instrument stems to create a fictitious full-length album studio session between Wonder and Common. Amerigo Gazaway has produced “YDKJ Pt. II” from Xiomara’s debut album Seven Nineteen. The Berkeley native has been a fixture on the Bay Area hip-hop scene for a few years. Her jazz, blues and hip-hop influences all come through on “YDKJ Pt. II” which is a bonus song from Seven Nineteen.
