Alicia Keys Debuts New Single In Common

[youtube id=”5YwHRTCyrEo”] Alicia Keys is back with her new single “In Common” from her forthcoming sixth studio album. On her inspiration for the song Keys says, “We all have our issues, our challenges,” she explains. “We are all kind of messed up and that’s all right. In fact, that’s what helps us understand each other. To me, that’s is what is so beautiful.” She will perform “In Common” on Saturday Night Live this weekend and on May 28th, she will become the first artist to open the UEFA Champions League Final in Milan.

Alicia Keys & Sade-Love Is Stronger Than Pride (Live)

Alicia Keys’ Keep A Child Alive foundation held its seventh annual Black Ball event at the Hammerstein Ballrom in New York City last night. Keys got to fulfill a dream by sharing the stage with Sade during “Love Is Stronger Than Pride.” I know that Keys was probably excited and had great intentions but this duet supports Sade’s exclusion of duets and collaborations from her discography. Sade did mention earlier this year that she prefers not to collaborate with other artists for fear of the ending result not being up to par.
