Aceyalone is releasing his 11th solo album Leanin’ On Slick on May 28th. Cee-Lo Green makes an appearance on the album that is rooted in soul/funk.

Freestyle Fellowship’s fourth full-length album The Promise came out today. Aceyalone recites “Dart” acapella to promote the new project. They also have a few West Coast tour dates they are doing this week.

Los Angeles rap veteran Aceyalone is taking to the road this September with Project Blowed affiliate Riddlore and MC Homeless. A legend of the genre, Aceyalone’s contributions to hip-hop include two stellar albums with Freeestyle Fellowship as well as collaborative indie-label releases with Project Blowed and The A-Team. His 1995 Capital records solo debut, All Balls Don’t Bounce was a watershed moment for hip-hop, introducing a unique West Coast aesthetic to the tail-end of the Native Tongues-era rap dialogue. Since then Acey has repeatedly released records that defy pigeonholing, developing a catalog mired in dense lyricism, playful instrumentals and a casual swagger.

This tour will prep audiences for the new Freestyle Fellowship album The Promise dropping on Decon October 11th.
