Amaria makes sure to deliver something for summer playlists before the season is over with “Dream Of You.” The soft-spoken chanteuse expresses her feelings with classic grooves in the vein of ’90s soul. She also lent her voice to Solomon Fox’s “Fallin Back,” and both songs are her latest, as it was almost a year ago when she released her third album, Free Fallin.




Questlove, Anna Fantastic & More Attend IMAX L.A. Screening Of Prince’s Sign O’ The Times

Questlove, Prince muse Anna Fantastic and Billboard hip-hop editor Gail Mitchell were in the crowd that attended the IMAX screening of Prince’s Sign O’ The Times in Los Angeles Tuesday night. Mitchell opened the event with remarks and Prince’s childhood friend and estate representative Charles Spicer Jr. introduced the film. The attendees had a pre-show celebration in a room decorated in purple and they honored Prince’s contributions to music and pop culture and his lasting influence. The Roots’ co-founder and drummer Questlove, who also got to share the stage with Prince, was snapped with Anna Fantastic, who inspired “Pink Cashmere” and “Lemon Crush.” Prince’s legendary lighting designer LeRoy Bennett; actors Kingston Rumi Southwick (Presumed Innocent), Kelvin Brown, and Anika Poitier (actress/director and daughter of Sidney Poitier); DJ Alix Brown; filmmaker/DJ Michelle Kath Sinclair; content creator Ashamad Heard; influencer Simply SashaAnne and a mix of cultural creatives and industry folk got a first look at the IMAX version of the film. Sign O’ The Times was Prince’s second double album and third movie. The album was the next level of Prince’s innovations in pop music and the movie captured one of his peak moments as a live performer. The IMAX film opens in theaters today for a one-week run and tickets are available through the IMAX site

Jay Worthy Shares P Funkentelechy With George Clinton & Leven Kali

California rapper Jay Worthy’s new single “P Funkentelechy” is a tribute to Parliament’s original with  appearances from George Clinton and Leven Kali. Clinton’s band Parliament released “Funkentelechy” 48 years ago and Worthy’s single reiterates P-Funk’s lasting influence on hip-hop and pop. Clinton and Kali are in the video for the alternate version of the single, representing three generations of funk appreciators. The song is on Worthy’s debut solo album, Once Upon A Time. The double album will be released in two parts and the first half comes out September 26th. Fans are still listening to the Magic Hour collaboration album Worthy did with Dam-Funk, which came out last year. 

 




Doechii, Clipse & GloRilla On Camp Flog Gnaw Roster & GOLF WANG Opens Australian Store

The lineup for the 2025 Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival has been announced. Doechii, GloRilla, Clipse, and A$AP Rocky are some of the artists on the roster for the event. Tyler, The Creator’s music festival is in its eleventh year and will take place November 15th and 16th on Dodger Stadium grounds. Goldenvoice is producing the outing again this year with Tyler, who will perform as well. The full lineup is available on the official website. Tickets are sold out but there is the option to join the waitlist. Tyler is currently on the Australian leg of his CHROMAKOPIA tour and his GOLF WANG brand is opening up a new location today in Sydney. It is the fourth location for the brand and shoppers will have the chance to purchase never-before-seen items and exclusives. The GOLF WANG Sydney store hours will be Monday through Saturday: 11am – 7pm and Sunday: 12pm – 6pm.
