Sa-Roc Has Amazing Grace

Sa-Roc shows confidence and wisdom on her latest single, “Amazing Grace.” She raps about her life path as an emcee and a woman who shames the naysayers and stands tall. Her autobiographical story comes with the encouragement for others listening to always believe in themselves like she does to this day. “Amazing Grace” is her first single since “Talk To Me Nice” dropped last year. It was four years ago when she released her critically acclaimed album, The Sharecropper’s Daughter. Sa-Roc shared some insight into “Amazing Grace” in a press release statement.

“The feeling of Amazing Grace is like that moment of revelation when you finally understand just how dope you are. In that moment of clarity, you become your biggest champion, unapologetically talking your shit. Everything positive that has ever been said about you, your accomplishments, and those compliments you politely demurred over the course of your lifetime suddenly lands like a ton of bricks, and you’re now daring anyone, including yourself, to refute how amazing you are. Just like how in a conversation between friends, that infectious feeling spreads and yall end up hyping each other up, I wanted Amazing to capture that energy. Never shrink to make others comfortable. Accept affirming words from others with a thank you, full stop. No more shying away from our greatness but settling into it comfortably and confidently.”
