Danielle Brooks Of Orange Is The New Black To Host 11th Season Of AfroPop

Danielle Brooks, who stars on the Netflix show Orange Is The New Black, is hosting the 11th season of AfroPop: The Ultimate Cultural Exchange. Brooks is known for playing the character Taystee in Orange Is The New Black and Sofia in the Broadway production of The Color Purple. The 11th season will premiere January 21st on the WORLD Channel with films about Miriam Makeba (Mama Africa), men’s fashion in South Africa (Dressed Like Kings), Black LGBTQ identity (black enuf*) and more. There will be new episodes every Monday through February 18th. 

 



Blood Orange Performs Charcoal Baby On The Tonight Show

The song is from Blood Orange’s current album Negro Swan. He shared the video for “Chewing Gum” featuring ASAP Rocky last month which is also from his fourth album.
