(September 28, 2010 – Brooklyn, NY) The wait is finally over. After a string of singles, a handful of visuals, and live performances alongside the likes of Talib Kweli, Big Sean, Mickey Factz, and more, the time has come for the official release of The Niceguys’ widely anticipated debut album, The Show. Releasing the album for free, the four man Houston-based group comprised of rapper Yves Saint, producers Cristolph and Free, and DJ Candlestick is also making the album available for sale through digital retailers for fans who would like to support the music.
A group with southern roots and worldly musical sensibilities, The Niceguys first burst onto the national scene with the late 2009 release of The Green Room EP, spawning the popular single and video “Not At All,” and leading a seamless transition into the group’s debut full-length.
The album is a testament to the group’s development. The album that was originally aimed at being a jovial, lighthearted party album saw a metamorphosis during the production that resulted in a multilayered offering, ranging from the celebratory braggadocio of tracks like “Toast,” to the powerful, rock-inflected “Mr. Perfect,” and the word play flipping “Good Shepherd.” On the production side, the album also shows a progression in the group’s sound, as Cristolph and Free deftly mix samples and live instrumentation to give the entire project a cohesive feel.
With The Show dropping today, fans can also look forward to The Niceguys making their New York debut during CMJ 2010 and can look forward to Yves Saint’s musings on the forthcoming New York Knicks’ basketball season as he prepares to kick off his own blog with leading basketball publication SLAM Magazine’s SLAMonline.com.

G-Unit’s first independent release with multi-platinum recording star LLOYD BANKS’ hit single, “Beamer, Benz Or Bentley,” has recently been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association In America, with over 500,000 copies sold.
The Prime produced “Beamer, Benz Or Bentley” is the first official song to be released off BANKS third studio album, H.F.M. 2 (Hunger For More 2), which is slated for release on November 23rd, 2010 on G-Unit Records.
The single reached Top 5 (#5) on Billboard’s Rap Songs chart and Top 20 (#19) Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart and internationally reached Top 5 (#4) on the German Black Chart.
In a recent interview with Planet Ill, Banks shared his thoughts about the single going gold:
“Climate wise, as far as the economy goes, it’s a beautiful thing man. When you are coming from an independent standpoint, an independent gold record is really a platinum record and a platinum record is a double platinum record. This record was recorded in my home, mixed and mastered out the pocket. G-Unit as a record label worked it, and here we are: 500,000 copies sold a few months later.”
In addition, the single has proven to be an instant success with his peers spawning many remixes and freestyles released by notable Hip Hop figures such as Fabolous, Eminem and Twista.
With his second single, the Dready-produced “Any Girl,” featuring the singer, Lloyd, hitting the Billboard Rap Songs chart, BANKS is gearing up for H.F.M. 2. that features guest appearances by 50 Cent, Tony Yayo, Styles P, Pusha T, Jeremih, Ryan Leslie, and Akon and production by music weavers such as Nick Speed, Prime, Dirk Pate, Frank Dukes, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, and Ryan Leslie, fans can expect H.F.M.2 to be nothing less than amazing.
In 2004, LLOYD BANKS released his first album, the phenomenal Hunger For More.
