Masego reemerges with his third full-length album, Fix Your Face. Keyshia Cole, Buju Banton, and Leon Thomas are just a few of his collaborators on the record, which Masego co-produced alongside Jordan Elgie.
It was a three-year journey to complete Fix Your Face. Masego admits the title is a nod to the common phrase parents use when their kids are upset, but it’s also a personal philosophy. As he explained in a press release, “My approach to life, no matter what comes at me.”
Fix Your Face upholds Masego’s reputation for crafting modern Quiet Storm sounds. His saxophone adds a layer of warmth wherever it appears—from the romantic overtures of “Someone” to the conversational tone of “I Know You.” He picks up the tempo and channels Gnarls Barkley on “QVC” featuring Thomas, while “Dotted Line” embodies his signature “TrapHouseJazz” moniker more than anything else on the project.
Fix Your Face wears its vulnerability proudly, revealing an emotional presence that keeps listeners engaged—even when humor pops up on tracks like “Charlie Brown.” Masego will take Fix Your Face on the road starting in early August, traveling to more than 20 cities across the U.S. and abroad.
