Shane Sato and his band Box Dreams, have a video just as carefree as the single, “Deep Dive.” Sato is on the way to his sophomore album and “Deep Dive” is the second preview. A combination of psychedelic indie rock and jazz, “Deep Dive” is a pure ambient music. Sato introduced himself with his 2024 debut, Until We Meet Again, and the stress-busting collection endeared him to several fans of chill music. The California native had plans for “Deep Dive” to be an instrumental but a melody changed his mind and he brought Adam Rhodes, who is the frontman for Box Dreams, to the front with his vocals. The gloomy undertone obscures the subject matter of a new love and the video shows Sato and the band having a fun day outside. Wavelength is the title of the next album, and “Deep Dive” shows that Sato and Box Dreams are more interested in creating a vibe than making songs beholden to the rules of any genre.
