Thundercat Remakes Diana Ross’s Upside Down For Candy Crush Saga

Listen to Thundercat give his interpretation of Diana Ross’s dance classic, “Upside Down.” He recorded the song in collaboration with Candy Crush Sega as part of their Music Season. Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards wrote the 1980 disco hit for Ross’s album simply titled Diana. Thundercat’s fusion version is breezy with a piece of Latin flavor on the keys. He says, “I’m grateful to Candy Crush for the opportunity to cover such a legendary song.”The video is a fun tribute to the video game with colorful festivity determined to make you smile. Thundercat just released “I Wish I Didn’t Waste Your Time” and “Children of the Baked Potato.” The latter was performed recently on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The release of the new singles and the five-year time lapse since It Is What It Is has fans eager for the next full-length project. There is no announcement regarding a new album yet but he is back on tour in North America One of his stops will be at The Camp Flog Gnaw Festival on November 16th.
