Los Angeles duo GAWD revel in their definition of luxury in the video for “High Class.” The musical partners flash jewelry, guns made of gold bars, cash, and their drink of choice for the camera. Alayna Rogers and Alana Linsey debuted as GAWD during the pandemic with their single “Waistside.” They went on tour with anderson.paak and later opened for the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Citing Donna Summer and Outkast as their influences, the ladies have syncretized those elements into free-flowing R&B. “High Class” will be on their debut EP Cathedral City coming out in the fall.
